    Cancellation and Refund Policy of Scrapert – a unit of Get Max Value Private Limited

    Scrapert – a unit of Get Max Value Private Limited hereby termed as “Scrapertis committed to providing a transparent and reliable process for individuals and businesses hereby collectively marked and assumed as you or the party or “seller” seeking to sell used, surplus, or scrap items including—but not limited to—electronics, furniture, household appliances, industrial machinery, and other related assets. This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which Scrapert or you/party may cancel a transaction or request an adjustment, refund, or clarification related to the valuation or pickup of your products. Our services are not limited to the above-mentioned categories, and this policy applies broadly to all assets handled through our platform or engaged through any other legit channel bilaterally agreed upon

    1. Cancellation of Scheduled Pickup by the Customer 

    If you schedule a pickup and later wish to cancel, you must notify us at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time. Cancellations can be made through our website, mobile application, or customer service helpline. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup may attract a #logistics fee, especially in the case of heavy or large industrial items, furniture, or machinery. Any such charges, if applicable, will be communicated in advance and deducted from any final payment or offer made to you.

    2. Cancellation of Pickup by Scrapert 

    We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a pickup in the following circumstances: unsafe or inaccessible pickup location, unavailability of the customer at the scheduled time, discrepancies in the product details provided, or due to unforeseen operational or logistical issues. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance and reschedule the pickup at a mutually convenient time without any additional charges, unless the cancellation was a result of incorrect or misleading information provided by you. 

     

    3. Re-evaluation and Revised Offer 

    If the product received during pickup or when brought to the warehouse differs significantly in condition, configuration, or model from the description provided by you at the time of initial valuation, we reserve the right to re-evaluate the product or reject the product and may attract logistics fee for the efforts done by Scrapert or the engaged vendors of Scrapert. A revised offer may be made based on the actual condition, age, market demand, and recyclability of the product. You may choose to accept or reject the revised offer. 

    • If you accept, payment will be processed as per the updated value. 

    • If you reject, and you wish to have the item returned, you must bear the return logistics charges, which will be communicated clearly and must be paid before dispatch.

    4. Refund Policy 

    Since we operate as a reverse logistics and procurement platform, the standard concept of refunds is generally not applicable, as you are selling goods to us. However, in specific cases where payment has already been processed and a subsequent cancellation or discrepancy leads to a return of goods, you are liable to return any amount paid by Scrapert  Without any deductions. In the event of failure of refund the goods shall not be returned. 

    Refunds from Scrapert, where applicable, will be processed within 7–10 business days from the date of confirmation of cancellation and acceptance of return by our operations team. Refunds will be made through the same mode of payment used during the transaction or as otherwise communicated.

    5. Heavy or Industrial Equipment Logistics 

    In the case of bulky furniture, large appliances, or industrial machinery, cancellations after dispatch or arrival of our pickup team may result in deduction of actual transportation or equipment handling charges. These charges will vary based on item type, size, weight, and location. All such charges will be transparently communicated to you at the time of booking or scheduling.

    6. Right to Refuse Service 

    We reserve the right to decline or cancel transactions involving stolen goods, prohibited items, goods not owned by the seller, or if the product does not comply with the law or our platform’s terms of use. In such cases, we may refuse pickup or return the item at your cost and notify the relevant authorities if necessary.

    #Logistics fee: Expenses levied on Scrapert by the engaged vendor or incurred by Scrapert for pickup and transportation of the agreed scrap item irrespective of actual movement like pickup attempt cost, advance to and for special handling of scrap material, hiring of adhoc or specialized team for handling of scrap material , other ancillary and incidental charges and attracted taxes, duties and levies as per the jurisdiction, notification and law of land cumulatively termed as logistics fees
